We are looking for someone to contribute to Ironclad’s game development under the guidance of a senior team. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong passion for games, a basic understanding of game development, and is excited to blend both creative and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to help bring games to life.
• Assist in the development of game features and tools using C++, C#, and Python.
• Assist in content authoring and verification.
• Debug and fix issues to ensure stability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to the team’s coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++, C#, and Python.
• Proficiency in Visual Studio and Github.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a small team environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to receive and act on feedback constructively.
• Fast learner.
• Must be able to work remotely.
• Must be able to work on a contractual basis, with the potential for longer contract terms based on performance and project needs.
• Must be able to work in any North American time zone.
• Must speak native or bilingual English.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience playing RTS, 4X, or other strategy genres.
• Familiarity with modern strategy gameplay mechanics.
• Experience modding games.
